Babies and children need to know there’s someone who cares about them, who’ll keep them warm, dry and safe, and who’ll feed them when they’re hungry. Someone who’ll be there when they’re scared, upset or uncomfortable, and somewhere with a routine they can count on.

At our nursery, your child is looked after by a whole team of caring, passionate staff, as well as their very own Key Person. Their Key Person works closely with you to care for your child just as you would at home, and keeps their Learning Journey up to date with everything they achieve, big and small.

Feeling safe, secure and able to trust the people around them is the foundation of a child’s happiness. That’s why we put so much care into helping your child bond with our staff, and into creating a space filled with things they recognise and find comfort in.

Cuddles help children feel safe and give them lots of comfort while they settle in. As their confidence grows and they start exploring more, they need fewer cuddles, but they still love spending time sitting with us to share a book, have a chat or play together.

Children love making us proud, and letting them know they’ve done well is key to raising a confident, capable child. Praise helps them learn, makes them want to keep trying, helps them make friends and helps them feel happier and more secure. Our team has lots of lovely ways to let children know when they’ve done something brilliant.

Everyone loves a smile, and across our nurseries we created well over a million of them last year. A smile shows that a child is happy, pleased to be here, engaged and having fun, and they’re seriously infectious. What better way to see how happy your child is with us?

For babies, a gentle voice helps them relax, get to know us and feel safe in our care. As children grow, chatting with them shows we’re interested in what they think and helps them feel valued at nursery.

As your child grows and develops to use words and very importantly begins to question the world around them they must be surrounded by people who will make the effort to listen. Allowing a child to talk can make the world of difference to their confidence and gives you a wonderful insight into their unique view of the world.

Our nursery has fantastic learning environments that are full of learning opportunities and children are brilliant at exploring these and really enjoy the sense of discovery. Being challenged in a variety of ways in an environment in which a child feels safe and secure will boost your child’s confidence and can shape their attitude to learning in the future.

Young children often find it hard to put their feelings into words, or to tell us whether they’re happy, worried, scared or sad. Our team is skilled at spotting the small signs that a child is anxious or unsure, and will always help them make sense of what they’re feeling and reassure them.

Children love to be recognised for the things they do well (and so do our staff) and our nursery has many ways that they make sure achievements are recognised. From taking the time to praise, to displaying children’s work on the walls, windows and ceilings, to our special achievement trees. Best of all is taking a moment to show and share the wonderful things that your child has done with you the parents.
